1. Written by me, too on April 17, 2012 from monroe township, new jersey, US Hey, Cheated and Ripped off -- we're about to file suit, too -- the RV was fully paid for by the renters, but we didn't see a dime. We had a few back-to-back rentals and by the time we could pull the plug, we were out thousands.
2. Written by too embarrassed to give name on April 9, 2012 from richardson, texas, US I hate to say that I worked for this company several years ago and I will tell you that they did not treat their employees very well either. it was a sweat shop. I had no idea that the RV owners were not getting paid. If you didnt book enough, they let you go... even if folks cancelled their reservations for no fault of your own. When I was "laid off", they never even paid me my commission for the bookings that I had booked. I had a lot of bookings that month.... all they did was pay me my small hourly wage... no commission... I was not happy. They were very selfish.. now I am seeing the true side of them. I can see how they could do this... the owner used to be involved with Hotels.com....... Hope it doesn't hurt me to have them on my resume!!!

Written by Palon, Motorhome on March 29, 2012 from sacramento, california, US I take it everyone else is getting the "Sorry, all circuits are busy" fake recording when calling their telephone numbers? I understand that many businesses go under but there has been too many blatent lies over the past six months to swallow this one very easily. I doubt there will be any recourse for those of us that have lost money here as a BK letter is imminent. |

7. Written by gypsy travel on March 22, 2012 from bear, delaware, US My fear is that we won't get the credit card money back and then end up paying twice if we rent it "privately" from the owner. PLus, I don't want to muddy the water if we end up taking this to court. If we rent the RV privately from the owner then it may appear as if we got the so called good/service from getrv.com when in fact we paid twice for use of the RV.
8. Written by Not Usually Mad on March 22, 2012 from smithfield, rhode island, US Looks like GETRV.COM is out of business. Unpaid owners will likely take the brunt of this failed business, however if you've paid by Credit Card I believe things will work out for you with the challenge / dispute process. The only drawback is the 45 days they put you through. My CC company processed the refund on a "temporary" basis awaiting the response from GETRV.COM should they wish to contest the charge back. gypsy travel try reaching out to the RV owner directly and keep your travel plans on track. That's what I did and the owner was more than happy to work with me, even reducing the fees.

10. Written by gypsy travel on March 21, 2012 from bear, delaware, US Dear Cheated and Ripped Off, Do you know if the family ever got their money back that they paid? We are supposed to leave next week but like you, the owner does not want to let us take possession because she has not been paid 10K owed to her. We are so upset. Out all this money (5 K). Credit card company saying they will return it to us though only "temporarily." What does that mean? So very angry.
